Teaching philosophy:
Beginning artists are encouraged to start with oil painting as it is the easiest medium, but they can choose any medium, including oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel.
All students are provided with individual instruction that targets their current level of experience and focuses on their particular work. Students are also provided with handouts that supplement the instruction received in class. Only constructive criticism is allowed; students do not criticize each other's work. Numerous reference and art books are available at the studio for students to peruse.
The maximum number of students in a class is 10, with each student progressing at their own pace on a work of their selection.
Students provide their own art materials, but can borrow from the instructor when necessary.
